70 Year-Old Eyelid Lift
Ptosis Surgery Eyelid Lift – 70 year-old man with very severe drooping of both upper eyelids due to eyelid muscle weakness from aging. He appears extremely tired and worn-out. He underwent an in-office surgical repair of both upper eyelids. His after surgery photo is 3 months post-op. What is not as apparent is that significant excess eyelid tissue was also removed (Blepharoplasty) at the time of his Ptosis Surgery. Combining Ptosis and Blepharoplasty surgery is often required both to lift the eyelids and to remove excess, baggy eyelid tissues. Symmetry is extremely challenging in Ptosis eyelid Surgery, especially at older ages when the condition is so severe, and this man was so pleased with how much less tired he looked to his friends and family!
