Face Mole Removal From Lip
Face Mole Removal – 22 year-old woman with a large mole of the right side of the upper lip. In this challenging location the patient was informed that scarring or color changes of the skin are possible after upper lip mole removal. Moles of this kind can be removed with a shaving/sculpting technique or with an excision and sutures. After reviewing with Dr. Chandler, she underwent a shaving/sculpting mole removal of her upper lip in the office. Her after lip mole removal plastic surgery photo is shown 2 months post-op. There is no alteration of the photo. She has been using scar gel to massage the area and has a very excellent result. There is a slight trace of redness remaining and this typically fade over the next 6 to 12 months. She is instructed to avoid sun exposure to this area and/or use sunscreen. She was thrilled with her mole removal outcome, especially since this lip mole had been on her face for such a long time. Very fairly pigmented people always risk scarring following mole removal, yet Dr. Chandler’s expertise always attempts to minimize such scarring.
